Tips for Designers
Entering a competition
When uploading your logo for a competition there are several things you can do to increase your submissions chances of winning.
- Always place your design on a 600x600px canvas. This optimizes how your logo is displayed in Logosauce. Adding a bit of creative flair to your canvas helps distinguish it from other entries. Be careful not to make you canvas overshadow your logo however. You want your logo to stand out on its own merits as this is how it will most often be seen. Always reserve space on your canvas for the logo to stand on its own in its natural form.
- Add descriptive notes to your logo. Clients respond well to logos that have the thought process behind them explained. Adding an explanation that highlights the key elements in your design illustrates why your design should win.
- Encourage your friends to join Logosauce and comment on great logos. The more community involvement there is the easier it is for clients to see what the general public thinks of a logo.
- Make sure your profile is complete. This will allow clients to learn about you and discover your design experience, this helps build their trust in your design ability.
