We love beautiful design, iconic logos, great brands, helping others be bigger, better, brighter and strong coffee.

What we look for

These are the traits we look for when considering new staff.

Integrity

Honour, honesty, the intention to do the right thing. Without it you won't get far here or anywhere. Guaranteed.

Talent

The potential to excel in your chosen field. We don't really know where it comes from but in our experience it's generally a case of you've either got it or you don't.

Passion

If you don't love what you do, if you don't get excited about the work you will do then forget it. We have no wish to spend our working lives with people who are just showing up for a pay cheque.

Performance

At the end of the day, when the client deadline is looming, it's all about performance. We look for people that can, have (and mostly importantly) will perform, when it counts.

Compatibility

Individual performance just isn't enough, we are a team and you need to help everyone in the team perform.

A note about Telecommuting

We like the idea of telecommuting. It helps saves travel time, wasted energy, commuting frustration, lost hours and helps save the planet. In practice it can be challenging.

We like it especially when the role involves a lot of time with detailed work where the telecommuter needs to focus without distraction (e.g. coding/design) or has to work outside normal business hours (e.g. international support). We also like telecommuting for sales and account management where the telecommuter is spending as much time as possible with clients.

We're also a digital agency, our key products are web apps, we build online brand experiences and our services are typically delivered online or through the ether. We use online tools whenever we can. So we walk the talk.

However, no video conferencing, phone, Google™ hangout or Skype™ session will ever replace the nuance and communication possible when we're in the same room. So we like our telecommuters to spend plenty of time at HQ.

Rails Developer!!

We're looking for an awesome Rails Developer.

This is your chance to change the way the world manages brands!

We're a small team so this role guarantees variety. From project planning, through coding to deployment and System Admin of our production environment.

We currently have two Rails apps in production, several bespoke client websites and a couple of planned new web app projects (platform undecided but we're looking closely at an all Javascript approach).

This is not an entry-level position and applicants will be expected to demonstrate a high degree of competency, however it's possible suitable for a uniquely gifted "A student" who can learn quickly.

Requirements:

Experienced developer with Ruby on Rails and Javascript experience.
Sysy Admin experience in production web deployments.
Mobile web or native app experience a plus.
Social media experience a plus.
Full time position.

Junior Designer (& Web Developer)

We are looking for a junior designer/web developer (or a designer who wants to gain experience in web design).

This is a secure job with New Zealand's leading online brand management agency, founded in 1997.

This is an entry-level position or junior position. May suit a recent design or interactive design graduate.

You must be located in New Zealand as this postion is based in our studio in Devonport village, a 2 min walk from the Ferry from downtown Auckland.

We are a small team, relaxed and easy going. We enjoy what we do and we work hard. Personality and culture fit is important.

We're looking for someone that:

Can operate a Mac with their eyes closed.
Is competent with Adobe Creative Suite software (i.e. Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
Can use a digital camera to take decent well lit product images.
Has experience with (or is keen to learn) HTML/CSS and Javascript.
Is comfortable working in a small team with a varied and demanding workload.
Keeps up with whats going on in the world - Can communicate effectively with others.
Can see the big picture.
Has an eye for detail.
Who noticed the spacing mistake above and was annoyed by it.
Has a pragmatic approach to solving real-world problems.
Is willing to learn and experiment with new techniques, tools and ideas.

Business Development / Account Manager

We're looking for a hard working sales person for a combined business development and account management role, with a talent connecting, communicating and closing.

We're a small team so this role guarantees variety. From creating and actioning business development programmes, through personal selling and key account management.

Current clients include; National Government Departments & Agencies, Corporates, FMCG brands, Tourism Agencies, Banking, SME's and Not-for-profits.

Requirements:

The ability to connect, communicate and close.
Business Development experience.
Account Management experience.
Ability to form lasting professional relationships with clients.
Energetic, adaptable and innovative.
Can do attitude
Creative, Marketing or Advertising experience a plus.
Web and Social media experience a plus.
Full or part-time with a minimum of 16 hours per week

Location: Devonport, Auckland. Client offices. Exotic locales (other than Devonport). Telecommuting is highly likely.

Creative Intern

We looking for an innovative, creative minded individual to support our creative department.

The Creative Intern is responsible for supporting key areas of the agency.

This includes writing, graphic design, photography, page layout, photo research, web design, pre-production on assigned projects.

The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter looking for real-world experience under the direction of experienced industry professionals.

Requirements:

Currently studying at a tertiary level or a Graduate.
Graphic design major
MUST be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
Web and social media experience a plus
Minimum of 16 hours per week

Location: e-see Studio, Devonport, Auckland. Part-Time or Full Time (Flexible Schedule). We'd prefer someone living in Devonport, Auckland CBD or the Takapuna area.

Compensation: Not a lot, but something. To be negotiated..
